On March the 1st 2017, I visited Jinkoin temple(神光院), Omiya Traffic Park(大宮交通公園)and Daitokuji temple(大徳寺)to find lichens, as they are close to my current living place. I could notice comparably more species of lichens, if I observe them carefully.
Jinkoin temple is a temple of Shingonshu school(真言宗)and it worships Kobodaishi (Kukai) as an amulet. It is comparable to other temples for Kobodaishi in Kyoto, Toji(東寺)and Ninnaji(仁和寺). It is also famous for an amulet prayer using cucumbers.
