Shut Hell(シュトヘル)

I have read a manga of medieval Asian fantastic roman, about recently decoded Tangut characters(西夏文字). The name of the manga is “Shut Hell(シュトヘル)”. The main story is about the battle of a woman of Western Xia(西夏)called “Shut Hell”, whose colleagues had been killed by Mongolians. She devoted her whole life to the battle with Genghis Khan(チンギス・ハン). However, the underlying story is about how our modern culture in law is related to medieval chaotic ethnic war, describing contacts of those two. It remarks the importance of individual cultures based on their own characters and its inheritance. The striking contrast between modern globalism and localism was emerged from the thoughts of characters of the story, though it still did not appear in real. The characters were struggling against karmaphala(因果応報), regardless of good or bad will they had made originally. All the people made their wishes with some reasons, and they constitute the entire history. The manga is based on actual background research into the period, supported by actual researchers in speciality. This story just romantically went beyond the cultural conflicts between the world in medieval and modern ages.
