Today is Friday, December the 13th 2019, but there seems to be no Jason hanging around, and the weather is bright and clear here in Uji this morning, in contrast to the weather forecast yesterday, which was supposed to be cloudy. There is no weathering with somebody.
The 3rd series of PSYCHO-PASS was finalized with open-ending. Sibyl System, Bifrost, Pathfinder still all survive, and many clues for succeeding episodes came arise. For example, both media manipulation and leading someone’s intention by mental treatments appear at a few different layers of the stories.
This story reflects some sorts of information science. For example, Sibyl System is deeply concerned with information network (of mal intentions). Let us start from Library Science. The fifth law of Ranganathan’s five laws of library science is: the library is a growing organism. Considering that Sibyl System was invested the ability to identify a dynamic of grouping behavior in the previous series, it was also invested the ability to lead directionality to the human society. As far as it sticks to mentality of an individual human being in each, the resultant outputs are only chaotic. However, with a certain number of individuals, a phase transition of the system is statistically achieved and the previous round of the episodes were definitely for induction of such a capability to Sibyl System. This directionality matters Bifrost or Pathfinder so much, and is also why Ministry of Foreign Affairs came across with the story, regarding the intention of Sibyl System non-neglectable at all. Sibyl System is a library of mentalities, and once the data were connected well with a certain intention, it can cover a broad range of subjects. For the five laws, they can be rewritten like a cubism from different perspectives in each as: 1, Sibyl System is for use; 2, Every person his or her Sibyl System; 3, Every Sibyl System its relational; 4, Save the time of the relational; 5, Sibyl System is a growing organism. Sibyl System is thus an evolving system, and its relation to Bifrost (mythology) and Pathfinder (pathfinder is also a matter of library science) is the matter why Sibyl System (science) is produced by its scientific mother or father. This continuing machine learning of human society may what those mothers and fathers may intend to perform. The world of PSYCHO-PASS is still extending even in this series.
