I have read a novel by АРИАДНА ГРОМОВА, “ПОЕДИНОК С СОБОЙ（自己との決闘）”. It is a story of an incident that a mad scientist, Professor Ролан, created artificial humans with a clear mind of consciousness, a mathematic talent, a neurosis or a loving affair. The story implies a gloomy mood of madness throughout and ended up in the destruction of everything. The title of the novel, ‘ПОЕДИНОК С СОБОЙ’, means a duel to oneself. This implies not only a battle within the body of the mad scientist, but also the battle among the societies, represented by each artificial human. A buddy in the story happened to encounter the madness, started in misery and also ended up in misery, as a part of such struggles of societies. Only a mass media made a benefit from the incident, and the greatness of the scientist became vague. This story captures a concept of creating something mad in the light of recognition and denial from the societies.
