On January the 30th 2024, we watched a movie “Poor Things”. It awarded Leone d'Oro in Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica 2023. In 2023, Leone d'argento - Gran premio della giuria was “Evil Does Not Exist（悪は存在しない）” directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi. I was interested in “Poor Things” because it was evaluated more highly than new Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s movie. As expected, the experience was brilliant. It is an ironic surrealistic black comedy movie with a taste of “Frankenstein”, decomposing every aspect of human’s rules and morals. The recomposed material is produced in a guidance of the main character Bella, and ended as a certain form of a rest. However, there is a huge distance between Bella’s story and the entitled “poor things”. My favorite character Harry shows Bella that the steps to real “poor” people is collapsed and there is no way to help. The money provided by Bella would probably dispersed like mist. Another favorite character God (starring Willem Dafoe), is a kind of tortured human being served science his everything, but he really loves Bella. Everything in the human communities is depicted sharply in this movie. The magnificent camera works and the arts literally killed me.
