On May the 28th 2017, I climbed Mt. Amagadake(天ヶ岳). It is one of ten best mountains in Ohara(大原)district.
The nose of this ornament of long-nose goblin at Kurama(鞍馬)was broken when there was a lot of snow. People fixed it, however.
This is Yakkozaka slope(薬王坂), where Saicho(最澄)passed to his temple in Mt. Hieizan(比叡山)after he carved a statue of Bhaiṣajya-guru(薬師如来)in Kurama(鞍馬). Yakkozaka also appeared in a story “Heike-Monogatari(平家物語)”, when the monk-emperor Go-Shirakawa(後白河法皇)had walked along this path for running away from his living place to Mt. Hieizan via Kuramadera Temple(鞍馬寺), confronting Yoshinaka Minamoto(源義仲).
You have to walk, walk, walk! Then you will reach the top of Mt. Amagadake with no view.
Eyelash Cup Scutellinia scutellata(アラゲコベニチャワンタケ).
I enjoyed the weather of early summer in Ohara.
