On GitHub, I found a program that demonstrates the marienbad game (NIM)! It is encoded in C and can be obtained from https://github.com/neoski/marienbad. You can also watch a game operated by two AIs.

On January the 8th 2020, I watched an oldie movie called “L'Année dernière à Marienbad”. It was a kind of crazy movie with much of dissonance BGM, mimicking some sorts of mental sickness. A crazy guy sneaked around the main character, and she fell off from her mathematician husband’s hands, neglecting obvious situation that this was crazy. They were trapped into endless loop of the crazy world. The movie was inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s famous movie “Rashōmon”, or Ryunosuke Akutagawa’s famous novel “In a Grove（藪の中）”. This type of collapse of normal recognition process for the surroundings is fond of me and I very much like this oldie. Coco Chanel’s stylish dressing and Baroque Architecture of the complex and diversified building enhances the madness of this movie.
The main character’s husband is surely a mathematician because he knew the sure-fire method for winning with Nim, which is not so easy to understand besides mathematicians. This movie is one of the bests I’ve ever watched.
