The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya(涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱)/The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya(涼宮ハルヒの消失)

The animation series “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya(涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱)”, and the animation movie “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya(涼宮ハルヒの消失)” are fantastic animations that depict science fictional stories in a certain high school with slapstick style of humor. The main character, Haruhi Suzumiya always reforms the world itself without any intention and self-awareness, while an interface of aliens, a woman from future and a person with supernatural power manage to correspond her behavior, with a storyteller of ordinary high school student. The reformation of the world accompanied by usage of masks among students in the movie possesses an affinity to COVID-19 outbreak nowadays, in Asakura world line (the substitution of Haruhi with Asakura is well expected). A novel, “Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World”, which is written by Haruki Murakami and an interface handles, is just an entrance to more complex story, and these animations also acts as an entrance for more complex stories. The suspect for the reformation of world in “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” is also easily predictable, and is good for beginners for science fiction.

In reality, aliens who are capable of contacting the earth are likely not to contact normal human beings at first hand, because they do not know whether dealing with such a low technological civilization is worth performing. They may observe human beings without any notice from human sides to avoid troubles. A woman from future and a person with supernatural power is likely not to confess their ability broadly, because they must avoid all the possible ridiculous actions that normal human beings act carelessly. They are likely not to confess anything for their origins. However, if something unusual happens, set aside ridiculous thoughts of religious miracles, simple abuse of quantum theory, human principle or any other thoughts with self-praise of normal human beings. The three unusual beings, especially the first one, is fun to consider, because it can explain practically anything under flexible settings. You may see some unusual beings just beside you, if you make your imagination stronger. I quit the abuse of quantum theory, on July the 29th 2016. It is just for fun, as in the animation series and the movie.

I wonder why the animation studio of the stories, Kyoto Animation was attacked by a man, who murmured “they are stealing ideas”. In every aspect the animations are extraordinarily well-designed.

Today, I have read through the old testament with an inspiration from Han Feizi, and have recognized discrepancy from the age, region and any other aspects. To finish the day, watching “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” was a good choice for cooling down.
