On February the 17th 2020, I watched the 7th episode of the animation series “pet”. Although the expression of the story is milder than its original comic, this story is characteristic for almost all the actor’s lines being foreshadows for the developments of the story. For example, people who have blood relations being killed for Jin and the president, the contrast between Katsuragi and Hiroki as an ability of speaking Chinese or not, and all the other lines are clues for deciphering what happens next. Despite the fearful situations surrounding the people, one has to defend their “Yama” as a peaceful place guarded by scary “Tani”, and when this balance is damaged, people are easy to be broken down for their mentality. A taste of avant-garde-like music gives added grace to the animation series.
