Amphitryon

I watched the 2nd play of “COLLECTION MOLIÈRE par LA COMÉDIE-FRANÇAISE DVD-BOX {Blanc}”, “Amphitryon”, and also found out that it was magnificent. It is about the origin of Hercules, a son of Jupiter as many of the heroes/heroines of Roman myth. This play involved new interpretations and productions; e.g., inspirations from Japanese classic performing arts such as Nogaku and Kabuki, which are observed not only in costumes and properties but also performances of the actors/actresses. Of course they are Frenchinized and are acceptable without uncomfortableness. As is always the case for the plays of LA COMÉDIE-FRANÇAISE, every single aspect of the drama is attractable. As you know, Doppelgänger is observed when something unusual happens, which also appears in “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story”. The last speech of Jupiter is as if it is an attack from Mars in SF (Mars is also a Roman god). Alexandre Pavloff did a good job as a queer role as usual (he can act both main roles and many types of queers).
