Inuyamajo Castle(犬山城)

On November the 20th 2023, we visited Inuyamajo Castle in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

 

This is a big Muku Tree Aphananthe aspera(ムクノキ).

Inuyamajo Castle was founded by Nobuyasu Oda, who was an uncle of famous Nobunaga Oda and died in the battle between Oda and Saito. It was a control tower of famous Hideyoshi Toyotomi in the battle with famous Ieyasu Tokugawa. It was for long time a part of Owari Domain in Edo era and recently became a national treasury.

 

Line-Oh-hashi Weir, which is in close proximity of Inuyamajo Castle.

 

Peach is a symbol of Momotaro (Peach Boy) legend.

 

Kiso River and Nobi Plain are on a site.

 

The Castle Lords before the age of Owari Domain. You can see the name of Chikayoshi Hiraiwa(平岩親吉), who was a servant of Ieyasu Tokugawa.

We boarded a ship. We can see a tunnel excavated by Japanese Air Corps in the army during the World War II.

We got off the ship and found Chinese Hackberry Celtis sinensis(エノキ).

 

We came to Urakuen, which maintain buildings related to Urakusai Oda, who is a brother of famous Nobunaga Oda.

 

“Pusan-Sea” is a rock transferred by famous Kiyomasa Kato from Korean during the battle between Japan and Korea/China in 1592-1593.

 

Joan is a national treasury founded by Urakusai.
