On November the 12th, I climbed Mt. Ushimatsuyama(牛松山). It is in Tanba district(丹波). It has another name, Tanba-Fuji(丹波富士).
In the morning, Kameoka basin(亀岡盆地)was covered by fog(丹波霧). This place is under construction for Kyoto Stadium, where the existence of Ayumodoki Parabotia curta(アユモドキ)is threatened.
This is Bamboo Fungus Dictyophora indusiata(キヌガサタケ).
The entrance torii, a traditional Japanese gate. An old man said, “If we have such a kind of fog in the morning, we will have a great sunshine at noon.”
The sun is shining again. The man’s words turned out to be true!
Red-Belt Conk Fomitopsis pinicola(ツガサルノコシカケ).
Turkey Tail Trametes versicolor(カワラタケ).
Here is Konpira Jinja shrine(金毘羅神社). It protects boatmen of Hodzugawa river(保津川).
Russula veternosa(ニシキベニハツ).
The top of Mt. Ushimatsuyama.
I came down the mountain. Here is Atago Jinja shrine(愛宕神社). It was said to be founded in 507 and worships Izanaminomikoto(伊弉冉尊), Kagutsuchinokami(軻遇突智神)and Onamuchinomikoto(大己貴命). The Atago Jinja in Mt. Atagoyama (sorry the link is only for Japanese) is bunrei(分霊)from here and the Atago Jinja in Kameoka is the original Atago Jinja shrine. Bunrei means the division of spirit.
The structure of Mt. Ushimatsuyama is elucidated.
You can also see the place under construction for Kyoto Stadium.
